THE RELEVANCE OF RESEARCH

To date, microneedling has found its application in clinical practice, due to the simplicity of the device and the methodology of the procedure. The unique, minimally invasive method can serve as a way to conduct physical factors (radio frequency), cell preparations (PRP), drugs (minoxidil, depigmenting serum, transenamic acid). However, many questions regarding the use of microneedling in aesthetic medicine remain open and require further study, including in terms of the possibility of combined use with other techniques.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Under observation were 82 patients aged 40 to 50 years. Patients were divided into 3 groups depending on the therapy. To study the effectiveness, a study was carried out on qualitative characteristics: hydration (corneometry), skin elasticity (cutometry) and the level of hyperpigmentation (mexametry), as well as the clinical characteristics of the skin, assessed by an 11-point visual analogue scale (VAS).

RESULTS

Humidity increased in the 1st group by 17.5%, in the 2nd group by 23.7%, in the 3rd group by 24.8%. With regard to skin elasticity, the change in indicators was comparable in all groups. The decrease in the mexometric index averaged: in the 1st group — 34.5%, in the 2nd group — 71.3%, in the 3rd group — 86.7%. The total indicator of clinical changes (VAS score) decreased in the 1st group by 1.8 times (p=0.0215), in the 2nd group — by 3.1 times (p=0.0275), in the 3rd group — by 5.3 times (p=0.0062).

CONCLUSIONS

The combined use of microneedling and Er:Glass laser increases skin hydration and elasticity, reduces the severity of wrinkles and pigmentation, which underlies a high clinical effect in correcting involutive skin changes.
