To study the impact of comorbid diseases on long-term survival of patients who have suffered acute cerebrovascular accident (ACVA/CVA).
REGION-M outpatient register included 684 patients with confirmed ACVA (stroke or transitory ischemic attack) diagnosis attached to City Polyclinic №218, signed out from Inozemtsev City Clinical Hospital for the period from 01.01.12 yr. to 30.04.17 yr. The outpatient observation stage from 2017 to 2022 yr. was equal 5.5 (2.4—7.0) years. «Death from all causes» was chosen as a final point.
In single-factor analysis, the presence of ischemic heart disease (p<0.0001), previous myocardial infarction (p<0.0001), the presence of diabetes mellitus (p<0.05) and obesity (p<0.01) had a negative effect on the prognosis. In multi-factor analysis, including in addition to comorbid diseases, sex and age, only myocardial infarction in the history (RA of death 1.009 (95% CI 1.004—1.014, p<0.001) retained statistical significance.
In patients who have suffered acute cerebrovascular accident the presence of myocardial infarct in the history worsened the long-term survival
